1st Place Veteran Bitch at DCA 2006
Belana was born on Christmas day in 1996. Little did I know that she would be one of the best Christmas presents I would ever receive.
Michelle Bradshaw, Belana's breeder,  offered her to me as she was already keeping 2 black & white puppies .

Belana started her show career by going WB at the Columbus shows for a MAJOR from the 6-9 month puppy class. After taking time off to grow up, I entered her at our local Dalmatian Club of Detroit Specialty where she went RWB.

Suzy Hughes was going to DCA in Perry, GA in 1998 and I had found out that I could not go at the last minute. Suzy and I became co-owners at that time. What a ride it was!! WB at DCA and 1st in her Sweepstakes class! She finished two weeks later at the Greater Washington Specialty under noted breeder judge Judy English Murray. Belana made one appearance at DCA as a Special and garnered an Award of Merit at the 1999 DCA  National Specialty under Mr. Robert Rivard.

She has produced 5 champions to date. Her son, Bret, finished out of the puppy class with a Specialty WD and BOB and GROUP 4 over Specials! Her daughter, Becka, has 2 Specialty wins and a Specialty supported Best In Sweepstakes to her credit. Sister, Ivy finished with back to back 4 pt MAJORS just out of the puppy class.

Belana loves to sleep on the bed and follows me around like a shadow and puts her head on my lap when I read. Truly a fine lady, who I love dearly.

I would like to acknowledge Susanne Hughes, DVM as Belana's co-owner and handler. She has shown her to perfection. I am truly grateful.
